On April 6, at the Elmwood Country Club, the Marshalltown Evening Lions met to listen to U.S. Marshal Ted Kamatchas at a regular club meeting. Kamatchas spoke about the history of federal marshals and their duties, including extraditing prisoners and protection details. The Director of the Senior Citizen Center, April Long, pictured with club secretary, Tim Fienup, received $120 from popping corn sales at Hy-Vee during a recent Saturday fundraiser. The Evening Lions would like some help popping corn, and if anyone is interested in visiting a club meeting and possibly helping the Lions raise funds to help in local needs, contact Fienup at tfienup@gmail.com.
