Marshalltown P.E.O. Chapter BB awards scholarships

“It is our pleasure to award $1,000 scholarships to Taylor Jones, Jolcey Santana and Callie Tuttle,” said Ladonna Allison, chair of the local scholarship committee for Chapter BB.

Jones is the daughter of Christopher and Jennifer Jones. She plans on attending University of Northern Iowa to obtain a nursing degree. She would like to work in a children’s hospital.

Santana

Santana is the daughter of David and Charlotte Santana. She plans to attend Iowa State University and major in microbiology.

Tuttle

Tuttle, the daughter of Troy and Sara Tuttle will attend the University of Iowa and major in nursing.

“These students have been on the honor roll and have a long list of extracurricular activities and community volunteer involvement all while maintaining academic excellence. We are proud to recognize, celebrate and encourage these outstanding young women,” said Carolyn Anderson, president of Chapter BB.

The international P.E.O. Sisterhood is a 153 year old women’s organization with the mission of helping women reach for the stars in their educational pursuits. Chapter BB was founded 125 years ago. Its local scholarship program was established to honor and provide educational funds to Marshalltown High School women.
