Ave Maria Study Club begins new year

The Ave Maria Study Club met in the Madonna Room at St. Henry Church on Sept. 9, starting with a potluck salad luncheon with 15 members and one guest present. The meal was furnished by those attending. The meal was followed by the praying the Rosary.

The program chosen to begin this year dedicated to priests was the first part of the YouTube video, “The Making of a Catholic Priest” produced by Bishop Robert Barrons’ “Word on Fire Institute” and was shown by Edith Podhajsky. It will be continued at the October and November meetings.

Jean Miller reported on the Golden Book registrations of the recent new members and spouses with the Benedictines in Bennet Lake, WI. There have been eight new registrations from the group, and they will now always be remembered in prayer at each Benedictine Abby.

The meeting closed with A Prayer for Priests and the Act of Faith. The October meeting will be at 1 p.m. on Oct. 14 in the Madonna Room at St. Henry.
