Fifteen members of P.E.O. Chapter BB met Nov. 7 at the Marshalltown Art and Cultural Center. Julie Kruse-Brewer and Jackie Hughes were co-hostesses.

President Carolyn Anderson presided over the meeting. Members were reminded of the upcoming Marshall County P.E.O. Christmas Tea on Dec. 5 at the First United Methodist Church. Members were also reminded of the Chapter’s Christmas Social on Dec. 1 at the Embers coffee shop. Each member was assigned a Christmas song and asked to bring a gift that represents some of the words of that song.

Before the meeting, Jane Bauer introduced Karn Gregoire, project chair of the Fisher Community Center Renovation. Gregoire provided interesting background information about the renovation and a tour of the facility. It was noted that the art gallery, for its size, is one of the best in the country. The entire building is a treasure for which every Marshalltown citizen can be very proud.
