Sigma Master donates to Emergency Food Box

Sigma Master Chapter met for lunch at Wayward Social on Nov. 8 with six members and two guests present.

In the absence of President Diane Hobson, Alice Nicholson, secretary opened the meeting with the Roll Call question: “What are you most thankful for this year?” and health issues were given at that time along with the answers.

Nicholson read the minutes of the October meeting with no additions or corrections. Barb Noid gave the Treasurer’s report as Caralee Hutchens was paid for the program books as all dues collected for the year but one. Dorothy Perry reported that LaVonne Pollard would like to go “Member at Large.”

It was noted that member Virginia Bumsted celebrated her 97th birthday with a card shower on Oct. 22.

Each member brought several food items, and Hobson will be delivering to the Emergency Food Box for the Thanksgiving collection.

Jan Keller announced the Dec. 13 meeting will be held at the Marshall County Ag Extension Office. Discussion followed. There will be no gift exchange. A decision to “bring sack lunch and drink” was made, as dessert will be provided by Louise Powers and Keller, hostess.

The meeting closed with Nicholson wishing everyone a “Happy Thanksgiving.”

Starting at $4.38/week.
