Ave Maria Club celebrates the new year

The Ave Maria Study Club met in the Madonna Room on Jan. 13 with 11 members and one guest present. Co-president Sandy Good welcomed the women and led the praying of the Rosary for members intentions. Hostesses Jean Miller and Jamie Snyder served New Years’ Party treats they had prepared.

Marj Higgins began the meeting by presenting a program “The 2021 St. Francis Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.” She shared that the Votive Light Chapel there was very impressive. She then presented a timeline of the development of the shrine and answered members’ questions.

Co-President Sandy Good conducted the business meeting and gave details of the Dec 9 musical Christmas program presented by students of St. Francis School. Following the program was a meal that was enjoyed by members and their guests.

Plans were made for the upcoming Valentines’ Party where members and guests will enjoy card bingo after lunch at MaMa DeGrados on Feb 10.

The meeting closed with a Prayer for Priests and the Act of Faith.
