The regular meeting of P.E.O. Chapter MJ was held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 16 at Redeemer Lutheran Church.

The Founders’ Day program entitled, “Toast the Sisters” was given by President Rheba Yost. Each of the seven founding sisters were highlighted by brief explanations of their personalities and activities in P.E.O. P.E.O. was founded on Jan. 21, 1869, by seven students at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant.

The meeting was called to order by President Yost. It was announced that in 2023 Chapter MJ will host an official visitation from the state P.E.O. office. Refreshments were provided by Yost.

The next regular meeting will be Feb. 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
