Sheila Paul, After Care Self-Sufficiency advocate with YSS, spoke to the Optimist Club of Marshalltown about her services. Paul, who has been with YSS for 30 years, provides individualized services for youth ages 17 to 23 who have aged out of, or about to age out of, foster care, the Iowa State Training School or a court-ordered detention center. The purpose of her services is to assist youth in acquiring the skills they need in order to live independently.
