Shari Reilly, Central Iowa RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) Volunteer Coordinator, spoke to the Optimist Club of Marshalltown at its April 9 meeting at Legends. Reilly, having been in her position for three months, detailed some of the many community agencies with which the RSVP agency matches seniors, 55 years old and better, with community needs. According to Reilly, RSVP started at the Federal level in 1969 and in Central Iowa in1973. Reilly, left, is pictured visiting with Pat Peden, Optimist Club president.
