Jordan Gaffney, Marshall County Attorney, spoke to the Optimist Club of Marshalltown at its Aug. 20 meeting at Legends. Gaffney has been in Marshalltown since 2010, has held the County Attorney office since 2020 upon the departure of the previous County Attorney, and was elected to the office in 2022. Among Gaffney’s goals in this office are to train the next generation of prosecutors and to establish a community advisory board to include city mayors in the county. The Optimist Club of Marshalltown meets every Thursday at noon at Legends American Grill.
