Announcement is being made of the June 23 wedding of Kathleen Kay Harryman (formerly of Marshalltown) and David Kevin Wells, of Rochester, Minn.

Parents of the couple are the late Bruce and Ethel Harryman, of Keosauqua and the late JR Wells and Bernice Wells, of Morton, Ill.

Vows were exchanged at a 4 p.m. double ring ceremony at Evangel United Methodist Church in Rochester, Minn., with the Rev. Jeff Utecht officiating.

The bride wore a soft white, strapless and sweetheart neckline gown of tulle over organza, with seed pearl and sequin beaded floral 3D appliques that adorned the form fitting trumpet design with a sweep train. The mid length fingertip veil, embellished with beaded pearl lace trim, accented her gown.

Matron of honor for the bride was twin sister, Karoleen Fober, of Cedar Falls and bridesmaids were Kathy Pierce, of Ogden and Roanna Vine, of Rochester, Minn., friends of the bride. They wore fuchsia pink sweetheart neckline and strapless floor-length gowns of pleated and flowing chiffon.

The peonies in the wedding bouquets were harvested by the bride from her home gardens. The peony bushes were gifts of love and birthday wishes — given by the groom to the bride throughout their 10-year courtship. It was meant to be — to share them on their wedding day.

Best man was the groom’s brother, Randol Wells, of Las Vegas and groomsmen were friend of the groom, Dave Moen, Rochester, Minn. and brother of the bride, Lawrence Harryman, Lockridge. Lawrence also had the special honor of walking his sister down the aisle.

Ushers were the groom’s sons, Nathan Wells, of Minneapolis, Minn. and Neil Wells, of Parker, Colo., along with nephews of the bride, Zachary Luppes, of San Diego, Calif. and Brent Harryman, of Douds.

A dinner and dance reception was held at the Rochester

International Event Center with cousins of the bride, Rob and Shanda Morrow, of Monroe, Mich., as hosts.

The bride is a graduate of Iowa State University and a

former medical social worker. She currently is self-employed as a Mary Kay beauty consultant. The groom is a graduate of the University of Illinois and is an engineer at IBM in Rochester, Minn.

A miscellaneous bridal shower took place on May 19 at the Tremont Inn in Marshalltown and was hosted by Kathy Pierce.

A June 2 family and friend shower was hosted by Roanna Vine and Karoleen Fober at the bride’s home in Rochester.

The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Lake Tahoe and

reside in Rochester, Minn.
