Edler receives Champions for Children Award

DES MOINES — The Coalition for Family and Children’s Services in Iowa recently announced Sen. Jeff Edler (R-State Center) as one of the 2018-19 recipients of the Champions for Children Awards.

The Champions for Children Awards are presented each year to honor legislators who have been advocates for Iowa’s children and families.

“I’m honored to have received this award from the Coalition,” Edler said. “In my work in the Senate, a big focus of mine has been mental health in Iowa and specifically this year working on a children’s mental health system for our state. Receiving this honor from a group focused on services for Iowa children and families just reaffirms the work we as legislators can do when we work together.”
