Frost wins national publication award

Michele Frost, Marketing Coordinator for Iowa Valley Community College District, is the recipient of a coveted Silver Paragon Award presented this week at the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations annual conference in San Antonio, Texas. Her entry was an Ellsworth Community College Athletic Viewbook developed and designed last year.

NCMPR’s national Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges across the United States and Canada. The competition is exclusive to marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges and it includes 55 categories ranging from publications to social media, website design and special events. NCMPR awards Gold, Silver and Bronze Paragons for entries deemed to be the top three in the nation.

This year’s Paragon competition drew 1,939 entries from 262 colleges across the United States and Canada.

“The national NCMPR Paragon Award is a coveted recognition for community college marketing professionals and our team is exceedingly proud of Michele for producing a publication deemed to be one of the best in the entire country!” Robin Anctil, IVCCD marketing director, said. “Michele took the photos in that publication, did the writing and was responsible for the layout and design. Receiving this national award is a real feather in her cap and knowing her talent I’m sure there are lots more awards in her future.”

Frost has been a marketing coordinator for IVCCD since September of 2004. She is currently responsible for marketing projects related to Marshalltown Community College and MCC Athletics.
