Local dealer elected chairman of Iowa Automobile Dealers Association

WEST DES MOINES — Mike Clemons, of Clemons Chevrolet in Marshalltown, was elected chairman of the Iowa Automobile Dealers Association at the association’s annual meeting held on April 5.

“Mike Clemons has a distinguished history of volunteer leadership at Iowa Automobile Dealers Association and brings deep expertise in automotive retailing to his new position as board chairman,” IADA President Bruce Anderson said.

Clemons previously served three terms as a director at large, from 2003-06, 2006-09 and 2015-17. He served as secretary from 2017-18 and vice chairman from 2018-19. He will hold the office of chairman until the annual meeting in 2020.

T-R hires new circulation manager

Jenny Cochenour recently started as the Times Republican’s new circulation manager.

Cochenour has been around newspapers for many years and has worked her way up in circulation departments. Her job titles have ranged from collections clerk, secretary to the director, call center supervisor and zone manager.

“I am so excited about this opportunity at the Times-Republican and I’m thrilled to be a part in such strong community like the one here Marshalltown,” Cochenour said.

The circulation department is responsible for subscriber customer service, working with newspaper carriers and delivery of commercial printing, among other things.

Cochenour is originally from Columbus, Ohio and has been told her first sentence was “Go Buckeyes.” She has a 15-year-old son, Diezel, who she said keeps her honest, keeps her laughing and amazes her.
