Traer native to begin dental practice

By MARGARET THOMSEN

Traer native Dr. Brendan Boerm will be returning to Tama County to begin his dentistry practice. In early July he will be joining Drs. Bob and Donna Pipho and Sarah Gingrich in Dysart and La Porte City.

Boerm is the son of Dr. Kurt and Judy Boerm, of Traer and the grandson of Ila Jean Boerm and the late Lonnie Boerm, of Toledo. Maternal grandparents are the late Thomas Droullard and Herm and Shirley Klinkner, of Dubuque. He is a 2011 graduate of North Tama County Community School District where he was an outstanding athlete and scholar. He attended Central College in Pella and graduated with a Biology major. He then attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, graduating in June of 2019.

Currently, Boerm resides in Cedar Falls. He and his fiance, Dr. Kenzie Vander Molen, a fellow Central College grad, will be married later this year. She is an Occupational Therapist at Mercy One at New Hampton Medical center.

He says he is …”excited to give back to his community, which has given him so much over the years.” In his free time he enjoys boating, fishing, hunting and playing his guitar.
