Police seek witness in Hy-Vee Christmas burglary

The Marshalltown Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying a witness to the Dec. 25, 2019 burglary of Hy-Vee in Marshalltown.

Capt. Brian Batterson said the individual in the photograph is someone who might have some information regarding the crime. The person is not a suspect.

The burglary suspect has not yet been identified. Images of the suspect show him in the store after the business was closed for the holiday.

“Some people have called, thinking it was one person or another,” Batterson said. “None of the leads have panned out.”
