Arrests
On Saturday, Isaiah Lingo, age 19, of Whitten, was arrested in Conrad for driving while license is revoked. Lingo was released on his promise to appear.
On Saturday, Guy Gerloff, age 21, of New Hartford, was arrested at 110th Street and R Avenue and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense. Gerloff was released on his promise to appear.
On Oct. 23, Shanna O’Clair, age 28, of Conrad, was arrested for failure to appear. O’Clair posted bond and was released.
On Oct. 21, Brock Johnson, age 39, of Union, was arrested at T-27 and 225th Street and charged with driving while barred, operating while intoxicated-first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a prescription drug. Johnson posted bond and was released.
On Oct. 19, Hector Lizarde, age 21, of Marshalltown, was arrested on Highway 14 north of 280th Street and charged with driving while barred. Lizarde was released on his promise to appear.
Accidents
On Sunday, a car driven by Elizabeth Hill, age 48, of Lees Summit, Mo., was westbound on Highway 20 when the driver swerved to avoid a deer, lost control and entered the north ditch striking a tree. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hill car was estimated at $3,500.
On Oct. 27, a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old female from New Hartford was westbound S Avenue approaching the intersection with Westbrook when the driver slammed on the brakes and began sliding into the intersection where it collided with a vehicle driven by Kenneth Thompson, age 66, of New Hartford. No injuries were reported. The 16-year-old was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Damage to the juvenile’s vehicle was estimated at $4,500 while the Thompson vehicle received an estimated $3,000 in damage.
On Oct. 26, a vehicle driven by Suean Lavelle, age 51, of Wellsburg, was northbound on F Avenue south of 190th Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Lavelle vehicle was estimated at $3,500.
On Oct. 22, a Jeep driven by Lori Willis, age 27, of Wellsburg, was southbound on H Avenue near D-35 when it struck a deer that entered the traveled portion of the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Willis Jeep was estimated at $5,500.
On Oct. 19, a car driven by Moly Beenken. age 22, of Grundy Center, was westbound on Highway 175 west of Morrison when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Beenken car was estimated at $3,500.
On Oct. 19, a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old male from Reinbeck was exiting a parking spot in the Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School parking lot when the driver backed into a legally parked Pontiac. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $500 while the Pontiac received an estimated $2,500 in damage.

Moriah Nicole Manecke made an initial appearance on a contempt of court charge. Jeffrey Hazen will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing is rescheduled at 9 a.m. on Dec. 3. Bond is set at $800 cash.
Petrice Butterfield made an initial appearance on a burglary-third degree charge and a unlawful possession of a prescription drug charge. The public defender’s office was appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Nov. 13. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.
Brandie L. Bills made an initial appearance on a no proof of vaccination charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Dec. 2 in Magistrate Court.

On Oct. 27, Christina Marie Oetker was arrested on a warrant.
Accidents
On Sunday, a vehicle driven by Matthew Tyson Rex Smith, of Ankeny, was southbound on Cooper Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway causing disabling front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Smith vehicle was estimated at $2,300.
On Friday, an Oct. 10 accident was reported about a vehicle driven by Samuel Harley Dean, of Montour, which was driving north on Highway 330 when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Passenger Kierstin Faye Johnson, of Des Moines, was transported to Central Iowa Healthcare complaining of stomach pains. Damage to the Dean vehicle was estimated at $7,000.
On Friday, a car driven by Arnie Glenn Finch, of Marshalltown, was northbound on T-38 when a deer entered the roadway from the west ditch and was struck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Finch car was estimated at $4,500.
On Thursday, Oct. 29, a car driven by Christopher Arlan Buls, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on Main Street Road when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Buls car was estimated at $3,000.
