Citations

• On Tuesday, Bonnie Louise Barton, 31, was cited for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Tuesday, Marcus Ruben Castillo, 20, was cited for no insurance and speeding.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Nykeisha Thomas, 25, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Tuesday, Jack Schultz, 58, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Celso Lopez Alcaraz, 59, was arrested for unsafe backing on highway and driving while barred.

• On Tuesday, Marcus Castillo, 20, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Tuesday, Myles Eastwood, 37, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents

• Aug. 19, a motorcycle driven by James Luvern Memmer, 47, of Nevada, was traveling on South Third Avenue near Hoglan Elementary School when it went out of control and skidded into the curb. Memmer was transported to UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown with injuries. Damage to the Memmer motorcycle was estimated at $2,500.

• On Tuesday, a car driven by Celso Lopez Alcaraz, 59, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on Marion Street when it passed the 10th Avenue intersection, stopped and then proceeded to back up while a pickup driven by Ronald Lee Ladehoff, 71, of Conrad, had just turned west onto Marion Street from 10th Avenue resulting in a collision. No injuries were reported. Lopez Alcaraz was cited for driving while barred and unsafe backing on a highway. Damage to the Lopez Alcaraz car was estimated at $3,000 while the Ladehoff pickup received an estimated $2,000 in damage.

• On Wednesday, a car driven by Ruben Amaya, 26, of Marshalltown, was southbound on South Seventh Street attempting to make a left turn onto West Linn Street when it collided with a car driven by a 17-year-old female from Marshalltown that was eastbound on West Linn Street. No injuries were reported. Amaya was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn while the juvenile was cited for driving under suspension. Damage to the juvenile’s car was estimated at $2,000 while the Amaya car received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

• On Wednesday, a car driven by a 16-year-old male from Marshalltown was eastbound on Anson Street stopped at the intersection with 18th Avenue when it proceeded forward into the path of a car driven by Katy Devaughn Weese, 20, of Gladbrook, resulting in a collision. No injuries were reported. The juvenile was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Damage to the juvenile’s car was estimated at $8,000 while the Weese car received an estimated $10,000 in damage.

• On Wednesday, a car driven by Ryan Wesley Hunt, 34, of Marshalltown, was leaving the Legends parking lot when it struck with a legally parked Dodge pickup. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hunt car was estimated at $2,500 while the Dodge pickup received an estimated $5,000 in damage.

• On Tuesday, Tanner Clarence Stanley was arrested on three warrants.
