• July 28 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 1211 W. State St., a public service at 2107 S. Fifth St., three no incident found upon arrival at 204 N. 23rd St., 807 W. Nevada St. and 8 N. Seventh Ave., two dispatched/cancelled en route to 55 Central Iowa Drive and 1212 W. Main St., three unauthorized burnings at: 1113 Fremont St., 1505 W. State St. and 1108 Highland Acres Road and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 3202 S. 12th St. and 3009 Arnold Drive.
•July 29 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to Fourth Street and Madison Street, an unauthorized burning at 2014 Wardview Road and 12 medical assists with the EMS crew to: 202 1/2 N. Second St., 401 S. Center St., 910 E. Olive St., 1503 Summit St., 710 W. Linn St., 514 N. Second St., 810 W. Main St., 211 W. Olive St., 101 S. Center St., 2901 S. Second St., 1005 Lincolnway and 409 E. Main St.
• July 30 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Fifth Street and Madison Street, a vehicle accident, general cleanup at East Nevada Street and South Eighth Avenue, a carbon monoxide detector activation due to malfunction at 310 N. Fourth St., three unauthorized burnings at: 110 N. 12th Ave., 214 S. 16th Ave. and Jackson Street and Ninth Avenue and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 921 N. Third Ave., 1703 W. State St., 402 N. 10th Ave., 1 W. Grant St., 810 W. Main St. and 814 S. Sixth St.
• July 31 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 612 E. Linn St., an excessive heat, scorch burns with no ignition at 1701 S. Fourth St., two unauthorized burnings at 605 W. Boone St. and 208 1/2 S. Fourth St. and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 106 N. 12th St., 910 E. Olive St., 202 N. Second Ave., 802 S. Center St., 507 Dennis Drive, 921 N. Third Ave. and 1703 Edgebrook Drive.
• Aug. 1 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an assist the police or other government agency at 230th Street and Shady Oaks Road, a smoke from a barbecue, tar kettle at 612 Marion St., three unauthorized burnings at: 619 Summit St., 404 E. Linn St. and 410 N Sixth St. and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 514 E. Olive St., 924 N. Fifth Ave., 1606 E. Nevada St., 6 S. Fifth Ave., 213 W. Ferner St. and 200 W. High St.
• Aug. 2 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 509 N. 16th St. and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 210 Edgeland Drive, 2024 Elmcrest Drive, 1516 E. Olive St., 1706 Olson Way, 1301 Summit St., 210 S. Sixth St. and 1511 S. Fifth St.
• Aug. 3 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a HazMat investigation with no HazMat found at 111 S. 16th St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 814 S. Sixth St. and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 501 S. 12th St., 533 N. Third St., 2901 S. Second St., 3202 S. 12th St. and 514 N. Second St.
• Aug. 4 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a mobile property fire at 206 S. Seventh Ave., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 10 E. South St., a brush or grass fire at 719 N. Fourth Ave., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 2500 S. Center St., two unauthorized burnings at 302 N. First St., and 8 N. 20th St. and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 911 Jackson St. and 1301 Summit St.
• Aug. 5 – The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation due to a malfunction at 804 Bromley St., two unauthorized burnings at the intersection of Woodbury Street and 13th Avenue and 7 S. Fifth St., and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 5007 Dennis Drive, 2509 Lincoln Way, 102 S. 11th St., 5 N. 11th Ave., 1111 S. Center St. and 2213 Maple Blvd.

Incidents
• On Tuesday, a theft was reported in the 10 block of LaFrentz Lane.
• On Tuesday, a case of vandalism to property was reported in the 200 block of South Fourth Avenue.
• On Tuesday, a case of forgery was reported in the 1300 block of Summit Street.
• On Tuesday, a burglary was reported in the 900 block of South Second Avenue.
• On Tuesday, two burglaries and damage to property was reported in the 10 block of Palmer Street.
Arrests
• On Tuesday, Edward Cheney, 28, was arrested on a warrant.
• On Tuesday, Estela Lizarde, 51, was arrested for dogs at large.

Incidents
• On Aug. 2, a case of vandalism to property in the commission of a burglary was reported in Marshall County.
Arrests
• On Aug. 7, Gregory Scott Wolken, 57, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.
