• On Tuesday, vandalism to property was reported in the 2000 block of South Fourth Street.

• On Tuesday, a theft was reported in the 300 block of South Third Avenue.

• On Tuesday, Breanna Leigh Harrelson, 27, was cited for operation without registration, no valid driver’s license and no insurance.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Ram Zahup, 43, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Tuesday, Breanna Harrelson, 27, was arrested for operating while under the influence-second offene.

• On Tuesday, Victor Hernandez Moreno, 18, was arrested for possession of alcohol under legal age, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana-first offense.

• On Tuesday, Deonta Brown Jr., 20, was arrested for interference with official acts and on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Timothy Palmer, 22, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Tuesday, Justin Chlupach, 44, was arrested on a warrant from another county.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Brennan Johnson, 22, was arrested on a warrant charging him with contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Tuesday, Yoneisi Perez Piloto, 37, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-first offense and child endangerment-no injury.

• On Tuesday, Timothy Palmer, 22, was arrested on a warrant charging him with contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Tuesday, Jessica Perez, 28, was arrested on a warrant charging her with failure to appear for an arraignment hearing.

Accidents

• On Monday, a pickup driven by Daniel Lee Harding, 34, of Leeton, Mo., was northbound on Highway 330 when the driver fell asleep at the wheel resulting in a collision with a minivan driven by Joshua Erich Fisher, 30, of La Porte City as it slowed for a left turn. No injuries were reported. Harding was cited for failure to stop in the assured, clear distance. Damage to the Harding pickup was estimated at $6,000 while the Fisher minivan received an estimated $8,000 in damage.

• On Saturday, a car driven by Patricia Lynn Thein, 48, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Zeller Avenue when it struck a deer which entered the roadway from the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the car was estimated at $1,500.

• On Saturday, a car driven by Hugo Oswaldo Silva Cortes, 52, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on 330th Street when it went off onto the shoulder, sideswiped a homemade mailbox which did extensive damage to the passenger side and then proceeded home where he notified the authorities. No injuries were reported. Silva Cortes was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Silva Cortes car was estimated at $7,000 while the mailbox received an estimated $100 in damage.

• On Friday, a minivan driven by Nathan John Smith, 42, of Grinnell, was northbound on Highway 14 when it crested a hill and came upon a stopped FedEx truck awaiting to turn left. Smith quickly applied the brakes but collided with rear of the FedEx truck. Seconds later, a minivan driven by Henry Joseph Seiler, 54, of Albion, crested the same hill and immediately applied the brakes, but collided with the rear of the Smith minivan. No injuries were reported. Seiler was cited for failure to have insurance-accident. Damage to the Seiler minivan was estimated at $1,500 while the Smith minivan received an estimated $500 in damage.
