Incidents

• On Friday, a burglary was reported in the 400 block of East Nevada Street.

• On Thursday, two cases of vandalism to property were reported in the 400 block of Bromley Street.

• On Thursday, a theft was reported in the 200 block of East Webster Street.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Balvina Cena-Gomez, 31, was arrested for driving under suspension.

• On Thursday, Jordan Foreman, 31, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Jose Valdovinos, 25, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine-first offense and on a warrant.

Accidents

• On Wednesday, a car driven by Tar Hsee, 33, of Marshalltown, was exiting the JBS parking lot and merging onto Marion Street when it collided with a car driven by Corey Claude Oltrogge, 49, of Eldora, which was westbound on Marion Street. No injuries were reported. Hsee was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through highway. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,500 each.

• On Thursday, Jorge Eduardo Gomez-Chavarria, 19, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Gerardo Javier Velazco, 19, was arrested on a warrant.

Aug. 12

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a building fire at 102 N. 16th St., an unauthorized burning at 500 W. Church St., a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 909 S. 12th St., two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 22 N. Center St., and 55 Central Iowa Drive and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: the Holiday Inn, 807 N. Fourth Ave., and 1500 Lincoln Tower Circle.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two unauthorized burnings at 615 W. Main St., and 709 E. State St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 101 S. Center St., 304 Thomas Drive, 309 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd., 707 W. Boone St., and 2436 233rd St.

Aug. 10

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a power line down at 1604 Laurel Drive, a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Vance Avenue and East Main Street Road, two unauthorized burnings at 309 W. Nevada St., and 200 N. 11th Ave., and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: South Center Street and Ferner Street, 112 N. First St., 1601 Marion St., 1 W. Grant St., 107 Santa Barbara Drive, and 112 N. First St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a rescue or standby EMS at 1003 S. 12th St., a carbon monoxide detector activation due to malfunction at 2107 S. Fifth St., telephone, malicious false alarm at 1315 W. Main St., an unauthorized burning at 1207 E. Boone St., a passenger vehicle fire at 208 N. 22nd St., an off-road vehicle or heavy equipment fire at 1402 E. Main St., a detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 603 E. Linn St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 1208 E. State St., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 8 S. Ninth St., Glenwood Place, 2901 S. Second St., and 409 N. 15th St.

Aug. 8

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a power line down at 8 N. Seventh St., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at South Third Street and West Linn Street, two unauthorized burnings at 1705 W. Main St., and 1601 Summit St., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 508 N. Fourth St., 508 S. Sixth St., 2605 S. Center St., and 217 Glenda Drive.

Aug. 7

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 410 N 16th St.,a smoke detector activation due to malfunction at 122 W. Main St., three dispatched/cancelled en routes to: West State Street and Sixth Street, 18th Avenue and Laurel Drive and 1211 W. State St., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 206 Nicholas Drive, 3 E. Southridge Road, 1000 Westwood Drive, and 221 Glenda Drive.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an alarm system activation-no fire-unintentional at 411 N. Fourth St., two detector activations-no fire-unintentional at 208 E. Church St., and 1301 Summit St., three dispatched/cancelled en routes to: 6 S. Fifth Ave., Reed Avenue, 2309 Knollway Drive, and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 514 E. Olive St., 6 S. Fifth Ave., 501 S. Second St., 1003 S. Third Ave., 20 Iowa Ave. W, and 1411 W. Boone St.

Aug. 5

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation due to a malfunction at 804 Bromley St., two unauthorized burnings at Woodbury Street and 13th Avenue, and 7 S. Fifth St., and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 507 Dennis Drive, 2509 Lincoln Way, 102 S. 11th St., 5 N. 11th Ave., 1111 S. Center St., and 2213 Maple Blvd.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a passenger vehicle fire at 206 S. Seventh Ave., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 10 E. South St., and South Center Street, a dispatched/cancelled en route to 2500 S. Center St., three unauthorized burnings at: 302 N. First St., 719 N. Fourth Ave., and 8 N. 20th St., and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 911 Jackson St., and 1301 Summit St.
