Court — Wednesday

• Eric Ramon Lasley made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a driving under suspension charge and a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing on the new charges is set at 1 p.m. on Aug. 13. The contempt hearing is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 7. Lasley is released on his promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Robert Vincent Mitchell, of Marengo, made an initial appearance on an interference with official acts causing bodily injury charge, a domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury or mental illness-first offense charge, a public intoxication charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Aron Vaughn is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Aug. 2. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Breana Leigh Harrelson made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Aug. 2. Harrelson is released on her promise to appear.

• Balebimo Luundo made an initial appearance through a Swahili interpreter on a trespass-first offense charge. Luundo pleaded guilty and the fine is $200 with a $70 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $455, due within 30 days.

• Anthony Rodrick Reed Jr. made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Aug. 2. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

• Arianna Marie Tichy failed to make an initial appearance on a dogs at large charge and the court found her guilty. The fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Deborah Kay Ferguson made an initial appearance on two counts of a failure to appear for a sentencing hearing charge. Marshon Dubbert will continue as counsel. The court ordered Ferguson to be in contact with her attorney and to get her substance abuse evaluation filed as soon as possible. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

• Azalea Lopez Guzman made an initial appearance on a dogs at large charge and a no proof of vaccination charge. Lopez Guzman pleaded guilty to both charges and the fines are $65 on each charge with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 on each charge, due within 30 days.

• Krystal Clark made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a judgment debtors exam charge. The court ordered Clark to call the attorney’s office handling the case and to get their questions answered by Aug. 7.
