Court — Thursday

• Kyle Scott Bolton made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 2. Bolton is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Phillip Terrell Davis made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Christian Alvin Krupp made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. A scheduling hearing for the probation revocation is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Sept. 23. Krupp is released on his promise to appear.

Incidents

• On Wednesday, a hit and run accident was reported in the 100 block of East Anson Street.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Christian Perez Sanchez, 24, was arrested for driving while revoked.

• On Wednesday, Shannon McKay, 37, was arrested for driving while barred.

• On Wednesday, Kyle Bolton, 47, was arrested for theft-third degree.

• On Wednesday, Kimberly Marie Rollins, 35, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Andre Lamonte Williams, 45, was arrested on a warrant.

Grundy County Sheriff

Arrests

• On Sept. 4, Autumn Fritz, 24, of Grundy Center, was arrested in Grundy Center on a Black Hawk County warrant charging her with two counts of burglary-third degree. Fritz was released to the Black Hawk County authorities.

Accidents

• On Sept. 4, a vehicle driven by Deane Adams, 83, of Conrad, was eastbound on D-67 west of Highway 14 when the struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Adams vehicle was estimated at $10,000.

• On Sept. 5, a vehicle driven by Gregory Roberts, 59, of Dike, was eastbound on West Elder in Dike when it went passed the stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by Shane Metz, 62, of Dike, which was traveling north on First Street. No injuries were reported. Roberts was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Damage to the Roberts vehicle was estimated at $4,000 while the Metz vehicle received an estimated $2,000 in damage.

• On Sept. 5, a vehicle driven by Samantha Aukes, 52, of Wellsburg, was northbound on T-25 south the 110th Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Aukes vehicle was estimated at $4,000.

• On Sept. 6, a vehicle driven by Donna Brandt, 90, of Reinbeck, was attempting to park in front of a business in the 400 block of Main Street in Reinbeck when he foot slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator causing the vehicle to jump the curb and strike a building before coming to rest. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Brandt vehicle was estimated at $4,000.

• On Sept. 7, a vehicle driven by Gary Fairbanks, 68, of Grundy Center, was southbound turning westbound through a curve when the driver crossed the center line and sideswiped a vehicle driven by Blair Puls, 29, of Hudson, and a vehicle driven by Melinda Barcomb, 27, of Grundy Center. No injuries were reported. Fairbanks was arrested and charged with operating while under the influence-first offense. Damage to the Fairbanks vehicle was estimated at $400 while the Puls vehicle received an estimated $3,000 in damage and the Barcomb vehicle an estimated $1,000 in damage.
