Court — Tuesday

• Christian Noe Perez Sanchez made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. Perez Sanchez will hire Jennifer Frese as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 4. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

Incidents

• On Monday, a case of vandalism to property in the commission of a burglary was reported in the 1700 block of South Center Street.

Arrests

• On Monday, Manuel Rivera, 29, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident.

• On Monday, Francisco Perdue, 22, was arrested for trespass-first offense.

Accidents

• On Sept. 9, a vehicle driven by Brenda Lynn Starn, 53, of Marshalltown, was turning left from 10th Avenue onto East Main Street when it collided with the rear of a pickup driven by Todd A. Goulding, 47, of Le Grand. No injuries were reported. Starn was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $3,000 each.

• On Friday, a car driven by Hsor Moe, 22, of Marshalltown, was turning left from Huisman Circle onto Columbus Drive when it collided with the driver’s side rear of a vehicle driven by Juana Oliveros-Alcantar, 40, of Marshalltown. No injuries were reported. Moe was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,500 each.

• On Saturday, a vehicle driven by Horacio Moreno Magana, 29, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on West Boone Street when the driver reached down for his phone and drifted to the right striking a legally parked Dodge Durango. No injuries were reported. Moreno Magana was cited for driving under suspension, failure to maintain control and no insurance. Damage to the Moreno Magana vehicle was estimated at $10,000 while the Durango received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

• On Saturday, a minivan driven by Damian Gomez Avina, 42, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on West Main Street when it collided with the rear of a car driven by Fernando Guevara-Castillo which had slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting a deer. No injuries were reported. Gomez Avina was cited for following too closely. Damage to the Guevara-Castillo car was estimated at $1,500 while the Gomez Avina minivan received an estimated $2,500 in damage.

• On Sunday, a car driven by Manuel Alejandro Rivera, 29, of Marshalltown, was northbound on South Center Street when it collided with the rear of a Jeep driven by Josephine Guadalupe Coury, 20, of Marshalltown, which had stopped abruptly for the light change and then he left the scene. No injuries were reported. Rivera was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and no valid driver’s license. Damage to the Rivera car was estimated at $2,500 while the Coury Jeep received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

• On Monday, a semi driven parked in front of Fisher Elementary School unloading milk had a brake failure and rolled backwards down a hill through a fence and into a house in the 500 block of Pleasantview Road. No injuries were reported. Damage to the fence was estimated at $500 while the semi received an estimated $1,500 in damage and the house an estimated $5,000 in damage.

• On Monday, a semi driven by Steven Edward Smith, 61, of Marshalltown, was westbound on May Street when it moved over to allow an oncoming vehicle to pass and struck a legally parked Infiniti. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Infiniti was estimated at $6,000.

• On Friday, Amber Jo Pushetonequa, 42, was arrested on a warrant and for operating while under the influence.

• On Friday, Clayton Kenneth Jensen, 42, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Rodney Paul Shogren, 48, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Dana Coleman, 42, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense, stopping on paved portion of the highway, no insurance and open container.

• On Sunday, Delilah Mauskemo, 33, was arrested for operating while under the influence-second offense, driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended, open container and stopping on paved portion of the highway.

• On Monday, Terry Lee Hurley, 56, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Monday, Bawi Cung Thawng, 35, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• On Monday, Hmun Cung Lian, 31, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• On Monday, Chan Kep, 38, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Accidents

• On Sunday, a car driven by Therese Clare Kuhlman, 23, of Cedar Falls, was eastbound on East Main Street Road when it struck a deer that jumped onto the road from the north ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kuhlman car was estimated at $2,000.
