• Benjamin Donald Sorensen made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge and an open container charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 6. Sorensen is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Ronald Lewis Hinders Jr. made an initial appearance on a serious domestic abuse-second offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 5. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Steven Ray Lund made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-meth-second offense charge, a possession of a controlled substance-marijuana-second offense charge and a possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 13. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Scott Michael Beall made an initial appearance on a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge and a no insurance-accident charge. The no insurance charge was dismissed with court costs of $60 assessed. Beall pleaded guilty to the failure to stop charge and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Richard James Dolan III made an initial appearance on a failure to stop within the assured, clear distance charge. Dolan pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Antonio Garcia made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. Garcia pleaded guilty to both charges and the fines are $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 for each charge, due within 30 days.

• Natalie Dafne Torres Leon failed to make an appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a speeding charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. The court found her guilty by default on all charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the speeding charge is $90 with a $31.50 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $186.50. The fine for the driver’s license charge is $200 with a $70 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $335. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Seth Alezander Weesner made an initial appearance on a paint sniffing charge. pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.
