• Gavin Michael Cagle made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana charge, a possession of alcohol charge, an in the park after hours charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 18. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Lance Mandell Walker made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance charge and a public intoxication charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 15. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days. The court ordered Walker be photographed and fingerprinted in connection with this case.

• On Monday, an attempted burglary of an unoccupied motor vehicle was reported in the 500 block of North Second Street.

Arrests

• On Monday, Elizabeth Gonzalez Baez, 47, was arrested for public intoxication-first offense.

• On Monday, Benjamin Campfield, 42, was arrested for driving while license is denied, canceled, revoked or suspended.

• On Tuesday, Luke Hood, 27, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.
