Court — Tuesday

• Matthew Daniel Puig made an initial appearance on two counts of a dominion/control of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender charge, two counts of a child endangerment charge, a carrying weapons charge, a public intoxication charge and a theft-fourth degree charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 13. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Derek Ray Edwards made an initial appearance on an assault on persons in certain occupations charge, an interference with official acts charge and a disorderly conduct charge. Tyler Reichardt is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 22.

• Thomas Jeremy Lopez made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge and two driving while barred charges. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing on the driving charge is at 1 p.m. on May 15. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Judge. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Mi Reh made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge and a drag racing charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 22. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

Paulino Verdinez Jr. made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge, a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge and an unlawful possession of a prescription drug charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 22. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

Arrests

• On Monday, Elizabeth Andrade, 33, was arrested for theft-fourth degree-shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine-first offense and on a warrant.
