• Mathew Andrew McCanna made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Jeffrey Hazen will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Jonathan Robert Leon made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Christian Stickrod was appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Leon is being held without bond.
• Vincent Ankton made an initial appearance on a burglary-second degree charge and an operating without owner’s consent charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 16.
• Drew Michael Barnard made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment charge. Barnard was ordered to contact his attorney within 48 hours and to have the arraignment filed by July 17. Barnard was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office to sign a pre-trial release agreement.
• Abdi Mohamud Ahmed made an initial appearance on a voluntary absence from custody charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 16. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
• Jessica Ann Head made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 24. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.
• Leslie Quirarte made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge and a rabies violation charge. Quirarte pleaded guilty to both charges and the fines were $65 on each with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 for each charge, due within 30 days.
• Barry Junior Barmelio made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Barmelio pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.
• Mang Min Sang made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Sang pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.
• Miguel Angel Ordaz made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a possession of methamphetamine-first offense charge, a turning violation charge and a no insurance charge. Tyler Heeren is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 24. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.
• Gustavo Alonso Jr. made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief-second degree charge, a going armed with intent charge, a fraudulent use of registration charge, a no valid driver’s license charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled foer 1 p.m. on July 15. Bond is set at $5,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Luis Genero Hernandez Santos made an initial appearance on a no valid driver’s llicense charge. Hernandez Santos pleaded guilty and the fine is $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330, due within 30 days.

• On Monday, Drew Barnard, 34, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance-first offense.
