Court — Thursday

• Donald Paul Boucher made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Aron Vaughn will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 23. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Matthew Allen Sumpter made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge and a probation violation charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel on the parole violation. The paroled revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Sumpter is being held without bond. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Regina Miller made an initial appearance on a no valid driver’s license charge, a no registration charge, a providing false identification information charge, a no insurance charge and a speeding charge. Miller pleaded guilty to all charges. On the driver’s license charge the fine is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354. The fine on the no registration is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The fine on the false identification is $65 with a $9.75 surcharge and $360 in court costs for a total of $434.75. The fine on the no insurance charge is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine on the speeding charge is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Chelsea Ann Peddle made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Peddle pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50, due within 30 days.

• Chancellor James Corbett made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. Corbett pleaded guilty and the fine is $40 with a $19 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $119, due within 30 days.

• Jeremy Leis Peerenboom made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and an interference with official acts charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 24. Peerenboom is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report within 48 hours to the adult probation office to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Cesar Daniel Guillen Rivera made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Guillen Rivera pleaded guilty and the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

Grundy County Sheriff

Arrests

• On Sept. 4, Dalton McIntire, 21, of Grundy Center, was arrested on Highway 175 at P Avenue and charged with operating while under the influence-first offense, possession of a controlled substance, failure to maintain control and open container. McIntire posted bond and was released.

• On Sept. 3, Brandon Pippert, 27, of Lincoln, was arrested at the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant charging him with violation of a no-contact order. Pippert posted bond and was released.

• On Sept. 2, Kegan Claiser, 21, of Eldora, was arrested in Wellsburg on a Hardin County warrant charging him with probation violation. Claiser was released to Hardin County authorities.

• On Sept. 2, Cody Rinnels, 29, of Remsen, was arrested in Wellsburg and charged with possession fo a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense, interference with official acts and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rinnels is being held in lieu of bond.
