Court — Wednesday

• Skyler Metivier made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Metivier was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Andrea Lea Grulkey made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court.

• Kyle Thomas McGrath made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-second offense charge, a driving under suspension charge and a speeding charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 27. Bond will continue as posted. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Ryan Wade Purdy made an initial appearance on a harassment-first degree charge. Aron Vaughn is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 27. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Cesar Daniel Guillen Rivera made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge. Guillen Rivera pleaded guilty and the fine is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25, due within 30 days.

• Armando Jara Cruz made an initial appearance through counsel, Kevin O’Hare, on a driving while revoked charge. The preliminary hearing is waived.

• Landis Jamell Bear made an initial appearance on a speeding charge and a driving under suspension charge. Bear pleaded guilty to the speeding charge and the fine is $120 with a $18 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $193, due within 30 days. On the driving under suspension charge a pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 18 in Magistrate Court.

• Christopher James Anderson made an initial appearance on an assault on an officer charge and a public intoxication charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 16. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• Lance Walker, 40, was arrested on a warrant charging him with contempt of court-other act or omission of District Court.
