Court — Wednesday
• John C. Gerl made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence charge, a possession of a scheduled substance charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 24. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.
• Daniel Ramirez Ibarra made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge, a driving under suspension charge, a speeding charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. On the driving under suspension charge a pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 23. Ramirez Ibarra pleaded guilty to all three charges. On the no insurance charge the fine is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine on the speeding charge is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $175.75. The fine on the no valid driver’s license is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354. All payments are due within 30 days.
• Matthew Glen Charles Morgan made an initial appearance through counsel, Barry Kaplan, on a driving while barred charge. The preliminary hearing has been waived. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.
• Daniel Ward Winkleblack made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-second offense charge and an open container charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 23. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 day.
• Christopher Lee Wanatee made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Wanatee pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50, due within 30 days.

Incidents
• On Wednesday, two reports of vandalism to property was reported in the 3200 block of South 12th Street.
• On Tuesday, a burglary and theft from a building was reported in the 800 block of North Fifth Avenue.
• On Tuesday, a hit and run accident was reported in the 300 block of South First Avenue.
• On Tuesday, a hit and run accident involving an unattended vehicle was reported in the 1700 block of Edgebrook Drive.
Arrests
• On Tuesday, Corey Hilson, 40, was arrested for careless driving, speeding, improper use of lanes, no insurance, failure to carry registration card, driving while barred and operating while under the influence-second offense.
• On Tuesday, Eva Ordaz-Sanchez, 44, was arrested on a warrant.
• On Tuesday, John Gerl, 28, was arrested for driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana-first offense and operating while under the influence-first offense.
