Court — Friday

• Kristine Marie Francois made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 28. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Kristense Kay Diggins AKA Rose made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a sentencing hearing. Chris Clausen will continue as counsel. The sentencing hearing is rescheduled for 9 a.m. on Feb. 15, 2021. Diggins AKA Rose is being held without bond.

• Luis Angel Pineda made an initial appearance on a no valid driver’s license charge, a fraudulent use of registration charge, a driving while revoked charge, a driving under suspension charge, a failure to appear for a plea hearing charge, an interference with official acts charge and an operating without interlock device charge. On the plea hearing, the interference with official acts, the operating without interlock device, the driving under suspension, and the driving while revoked charges, Christian Stickrod is appointed as counsel. The next court appearance will be scheduled by the District Associate Court.

Pineda pleaded guilty to the fraudulent use of registration and the no valid driver’s license charges, fines is $260 with the $39 surcharge on both and $55 in court costs for a total of $354 on each count due within 30 days.

• Cheyenne Lucille Johnson made an initial appearance on a fraudulent use of registration charge, an operation without registration charge and a no insurance charge. Johnson pleaded guilty to all charges. On the fraudulent registration charge the fine is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354. The fine on the operation without registration the fine is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The fine on the no insurance charge is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Casey Thurston made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a contempt hearing charge. The contempt hearing is set at 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2021.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a no incident found upon arrival at dispatch address at 808 Patterson Lane, five dispatched/canceled en routes to: 905 S.
