Marshalltown Police

Arrests

• Manuel Salvador Garcia, 30, was arrested Wednesday for driving with a suspended license and cited for operation without registration and failure to provide proof of financial liability.

• Esmeralda Lexus Marie Tejeda, 19, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant.

• Dale Jones, 47, was arrested Wednesday for a second- or sub-offense sex offender residency violation.

• Kevin Stevenson, 58, was arrested Wednesday for a second- or sub-offense sex offender verification violation.

• Charles Scott Chambers Jr., 49, was arrested Thursday on a warrant.

• Jaylen Adam Downs, 20, was arrested Thursday for sniffing a prohibited glue/chemical substance.

Incidents

• The Orpheum Theater reported fifth-degree criminal mischief/damage to property on Wednesday.

• Kaplan and Frese LLP. reported fifth-degree criminal mischief/damage to property on E. Church Street on Wednesday.

• Jo Ann Carpenter reported third-degree burglary on N. Third Street on Thursday.

Marshall County Courthouse

• Jaylen Adam Downs made an initial appearance on the charge of sniffing glue or other chemical substances. Downs was arrested Thursday in the Walmart bathroom. Officers found he had vomited after huffing a can of air duster. The can was cold to the touch. A pretrial conference is set for March 1.

• Angela Jean Dunbar made an initial appearance for driving while barred. The case has been continued to Jan. 22.

• Alicia Marie Kinzenbaw made an initial appearance for driving without insurance. The case has been continued to Jan. 22.

• Jose Rosario Salas made an initial appearance for driving with a suspended license. The case has been continued to Jan. 22.

• Mark Wayne Chatman made an initial appearance for driving without a valid license. The case has been continued to Jan. 22.

• Amber Rose Niederklopfer made an initial appearance for violating a no-contact order. Bond was set at $1,000.

Marshall County Sheriff

• Jerry Joseph Ebersole, 53, was arrested Wednesday for failure to maintain control and second-offense operating while under the influence.

• Nicholas Weatherly, 35, was arrested Thursday for driving while barred, first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana — and failure to pay fines and court costs.

• Jose De Jesus Hernandez Garcia, 54, was arrested Thursday on a warrant.
