Arrests
• Jaime Sandoval, 34, of Marshalltown was arrested Wednesday for second offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana.
• Robert Thomas, 37, of Marshalltown, was arrested Wednesday for first-degree murder and attempted murder.
• Logan Dane Plante, 24, was arrested Wednesday for third-degree theft, failure to provide proof of financial liability, interference with official acts, operation without a registration card or plate, two counts of improper use of a handicapped ID device and possession of drug paraphernalia.
