• Ana Laura Martinez made an initial appearance on an eluding charge, an operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a striking fixtures charge, a reckless driving charge, a driving on the wrong side of highway charge and a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 22. Martinez is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours.

• David Allen Bartleson made an initial appearance after he was served with a warrant. The pre-trial conference is rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 22 and the jury trial is rescheduled for 9 a.m. on Jan. 20, 2022. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• Kristain Mone McGhee made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge and a interference with official acts charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2022, in Magistrate Court.

• Matthew Joseph Schaumburg failed to make an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. The court found Schaumburg guilty on both charges. The fine on the driving under suspension charge is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the no insurance charge is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75.

• Justin Fredrick Chandonia made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2022, in Magistrate Court.

• Raul Jesus Rosas Vera made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a speeding charge and a dark windows charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2022, in Magistrate Court for the driving under suspension charge. Rosas Vera pleaded guilty to the other two charges. The fine on the speeding charge is $30 with a $4.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $89.50. The fine on the dark windows is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50.

• Jeffrey Fuentes made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 30.

• Briza Gonzalez Marin made an initial appearance on a supplying alcohol under legal age charge and a serving alcohol to minors charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 30.

Incidents

• On Sunday, a hit and run accident was reported in the 2800 block of South Center Street.

• On Saturday, a traffic incident involving striking fixtures was reported in the 700 block of West State Street.

• On Friday, a hit and run accident was reported at the intersection of West State Street and North Third Street.

Citations

• On Sunday, Aleyah Lambert Powell, 22, was cited for reckless driving, open container and failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.

• On Friday, Sierra Marlene Ferneau, 34, was cited for reckless driving and failure to obey a traffic control device.

Arrests

• On Monday, Aleyah Powell, 22, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.

• On Monday, Kristain McGhee, 22, was arrested for interference with official acts and public intoxication-first offense.

• On Saturday, Tara Tesar, 45, was arrested for interference with official acts, possession of methamphetamine-first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespass-first offense.

• On Saturday, Ana Martinez, 31, was arrested for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way, driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway, striking fixtures on a highway, operating while under the influence-first offense, reckless driving and eluding-injury, OWI, drugs or participation in a felony.

• On Friday, Elijah Griffith, 21, was arrested on a warrant.
