• Jenail Kantor Reefer made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Reefer pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Mary Kathryn Goad made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order charge and a burglary-first degree charge, a child endangerment charge and a domestic abuse assault-first offense charge. On the violation of the no-contact order/contempt of court charge, a contempt hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Jan. 18. Taylor Reichardt will continue as counsel. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party. A gun rights prohibition is ordered.

On the burglary, child endangerment and domestic abuse charges, a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 14. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party and a gun rights prohibition is issued. Bond is set at $10,000 cash.

• Aaron G. Cole made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Cole pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Laura Rivera Cortez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 16 in Magistrate Court.

• Clifton Dale Howell II made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a speeding charge. Howell pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine for speeding is $30 with a $4.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $89.50.

• Patricia Ayard Solis Barajas made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Solis Barajas pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Elise Christine Hoop made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Hoop pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Shelene Kate Balderas made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Balderas pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Jeremy Lee Burnett made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a fraudulent use of registration charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 24.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Mary Goad, 27, was arrested for child endangerment, burglary-first degree-bodily injury and domestic abuse assault-first offense-causing bodily injury.

• On, Tuesday, Amado Garza IV, 25, was arrested for obstruction of emergency communications, criminal mischief-fifth degree and interference with official acts.

• On Tuesday, Jenail Reefer, 44, was arrested for public intoxication.

Accidents

• On Thursday, Dec. 30, a pickup driven by Matthew Kurtis Witham, 30, of Eldora, was northbound on Wallace Avenue when it struck a deer the exited the east ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Witham pickup was estimated at $3,000.
