• Carina Clarice Victor made an initial appearance on an interference with official acts charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 19 in Magistrate Court.
• Amador Guevara made an initial appearance on a trespass charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 12 in Magistrate Court.
• Gia Nalee Hernandez made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge, a possession of controlled substance-first offense charge, an assault charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Joel Waters is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 30. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court. A no-contact order is issued for the protected party.
• Jose Socorro Carrera Cervantes made a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge. Carrera Cervantes pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Rene Edilberto Hernandez Martinez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Hernandez Martinez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Fernando Roberto Gonzalez Lopez made an initial appearance on a failure to file a written plea charge. Aron Vaughn is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 6 with the jury trial set at 9 a.m. on Oct. 27.
• Victor Manuel Acevedo Rivera made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 11. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

Arrests
• On Wednesday, Carina Victor, 28, was arrested for theft-fifth degree-shoplifting, interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant.
• On Tuesday, Amador Guevara, 22, was arrested for trespass-first offense.
• On Tuesday, Gia Hernandez, 18, was arrested for assault on persons in certain occupations, domestic abuse assault-first offense-causing bodily injury, interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance-first offense.

Accidents
• On Monday, an SUV driven by Elizabeth Anne Bausman, 50, of Wellsburg, was northbound on Sanford Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway resulting in heavy front-end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Bausman SUV was estimated at $10,000.
• On Sept. 15, a car driven by Luke Douglas Ericson, 35, was southbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ericson car was estimated at $4,000.
