• Skylar James Stotz made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge, a theft-third degree charge and an assault charge. The arraignment hearing is rescheduled for 9 a.m. on April 3. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. Arch Wilson is appointed as counsel for the assault charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 12. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Justin Lee Davis made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a criminal mischief-fifth degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel on the driving while barred charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on April 3. Bond is set at $2,000 cash. Joel Fenton is appointed as counsel on the criminal mischief charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on April 12. Bond is set at $1,000 cash.

• Rogelio Avalos Sanchez made an initial appearance on a controlled substance violation charge, a failure to affix a drug tax stamp charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. • On Wednesday, March 22, Jordan Dolash, 26, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-first offense-causing bodily injury.

• On Wednesday, March 22, Francisco Barajas Manzo, 30, was arrested for driving while barred-habitual offender.

• On Wednesday, March 22, Grant Tietz, 38, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness-no intent.

Accidents

• On Thursday, March 9, a car driven by Jon Elliot Brones, 36, of Waukee, was northbound on Marsh Avenue when two deer ran out of the west ditch colliding with one with the side and one with the front of the car. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Brones car was estimated at $10,000.

• On Saturday, March 4, an SUV driven by Stacey Lauren Nichols, 47, of Liscomb, was northbound on Marsh Avenue when it struck a deer that exited the east ditch resulting in heavy front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Nichols SUV was estimated at $15,000.
