• On Friday, May 12, Jesus Ventura-Carrasco, 27, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of no-contact order.
• On Thursday, May 11, David Duran, 28, was arrested for two counts of harassment-first degree-threaten forcible felony.
• On Thursday, May 11, Teresa Lavender, 57, was arrested for theft-fifth degree-shoplifting, fraudulent purchase-fifth degree and false pretenses/swindling/confidence game.
• On Thursday, May 11, Shane Rose, 45, was arrested for theft-second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense, theft-third degree, criminal mischief-fourth degree, burglary-third degree and theft-first degree.
• On Thursday, May 11, Nathan Lucas, 33, was arrested for driving while barred-habitual offender.
• On Thursday, May 11, Jason Burns, 43, was arrested for providing false identification information and on a warrant.

• Jesus Ventura Carrasco made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 22. Jeff Hazen will continue as counsel. Bond is set at $1,000 cash. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Shane Dean Rose made an initial appearance on a theft-first degree charge, a burglary-third degree charge, a criminal mischief charge, two counts of a possession of controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a theft-second degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 22. Bond is set at $25,000 cash. a substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Jason Michael Burns made an initial appearance on a violation of parole charge. Arch Wilson is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Burns is being held without bond.
• David Jonathan Duran made an initial appearance on five counts of a harassment-first degree charge. A preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 22. Bond is set at $1,000 cash. A mental health evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Laura Rivera Cortez made an initial appearance on a driving unde suspension charge. Rivera Cortez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Diana Lynn Strickland made an initial appearance on a rabies vaccination violation charge. Strickland pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Theresa Ann McCombs made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. McCombs pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Benjamin Paul Campfield made an initial appearance on a failure to use safety belts charge, a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set at 9:30 a.m. on June 7 in Magistrate Court for the no insurance charge. Campfield pleaded guilty to the other two charges. The fine on the seat belt charge is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Alan Gutierrez Cantu made an initial appearance on a operating a non-registered vehicle charge and a driving under suspension charge. Gutierrez Cantu pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the non-registered vehicle charge was $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
