• Carlos Jaliel Davila Romero made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge and a public urination charge. Davila Romero pleaded guilty and the fine is $210 with a $31.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $301.50.

• Donna Jean Varnum made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-second offense charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is waived. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• David Ray Burger made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a driving under suspension charge and a speeding charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on June 23.

• Micky Lee Leonard made an initial appearance on a warrant charging him with failure to appear for a sentencing hearing. The sentencing hearing will be rescheduled by the District Associate Court.

• Jaime Oliveros Alcantar made an initial appearance on an open container charge and a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge. Alcantar pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the open container is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354. The fine for the failure to stop charge is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Oscar Mendoza Perez made an initial appearance on a failure to use safety belts charge and a driving while revoked charge. Mendoza Perez pleaded guilty to the safety belt charge and the fine is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The preliminary hearing for the driving while revoked charge is set for 9:30 a.m. on June 23.

• James Anthony Oden failed to appear for a failure to maintain or use safety belts charge and a reckless driving charge and the court found Oden guilty on both charges. The fine on the safety belt charge is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 for a total of $135.50. The fine on the reckless driving charge is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Nathan Thomas Lucas failed to appear for an unlawful passing of a school bus-first offense charge and the court found Lucas guilty. The fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
