• Twyla Roxanne Kapayou made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge and an interference with official acts charge. Leah Patton is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 6 in Magistrate Court.

• Raymond Leroy Horrell made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense charge, an operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a failure to maintain control charge and a failure to yield to an emergency vehicle charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 14. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court. Bond is set at $6,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jesus Ventura Carrasco made an initial appearance on a controlled substance violation charge, a failure to affix a drug tax stamp charge, a contraband in a correctional facility charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The preliminary hearing on the new charges is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 14. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court. Bond is set at $35,000 cash.

The contempt hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 18. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Melissa Ann Mailloux Birch made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 14. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jomari Cilntron Morales made an initial appearance on a controlled substance violation charge and a failure to affix a drug tax stamp charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 14. Bond is set at $30,000 cash. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Jacob Perez made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. Perez pleaded guilty to the no insurance charge and the fine is $645 with a $96.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $796.75. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 13 in Magistrate Court for the driving under suspension.

• Isaac Correa made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge, a speeding charge and a permit operation of vehicle while registration is suspended charge. Correa pleaded guilty to all charges. The fine for the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine for the speeding is $30 with a $4.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $89.50. The fine on the suspended registration is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Luis Junior Delgadillo failed to appear for a dark window or windshield charge, a speeding charge and a driving under suspension charge. The court found him guilty on all counts. The fine on the dark windows is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The fine on speeding is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $175.75. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Jaylynn Josie Bear made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge and an operation of a non-registered vehicle charge. Dusty Clements is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 24.

• Oracio Macias made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. Jessica Maffitt is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 24.

• Dylan Michael Aswegan made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Aswegan pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• On Thursday, Aug. 3, Melissa Birch, 44, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense.
