• Chuck Davis Wood made an initial appearance on an escape from custody-felon charge and a sex offender registry violation-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Oct. 9. Bond is set at $7,000 cash or surety.
• Jatnael Alvizo Sanchez made an initial appearance on a driving while license is under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 in Magistrate Court.
• Edwin Paredes made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Paredes pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• German Avalos Gomez made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a failure to use safety belts charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Oct. 18. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• A 13-year-old female, two 14-year-old males and a 16-year-old male made an initial appearance on a curfew violation charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 in Magistrate Court.
• A 13-year-old male failed to appear for an initial on a curfew violation and the court found him guilty. The fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Jose Luis Diaz failed to appear for an initial ona driving under suspension charge. The court found him guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Eric Robert Hannah made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 2 p.m. on Nov. 6.
• Omar Torres made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Torres pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
