• Mary Moody made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. A non-jury trial is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 20. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Oracio Macias made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Taylor Reichardt is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be set by the Administrative Law Judge. Macias is being held without bond.

• Ramon Alexis Feliciano Nieves made an initial appearance on a control of a firearm by a felon charge, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault causing bodily injury and possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 15. Bond is set at $19.000 cash. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• David Lynn Weishaubt made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge and a operation without registration charge. A pre-trial conference is set at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 25 in Magistrate Court.

• Preston Marcus Duncan II made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a reckless driving charge, a failure to report an accident charge and a interference with official acts charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 26.

• A 15-year-old male made an initial appearance on a curfew violation charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
