• Rene Martinez Jr. made an initial appearance on a harassment-third degree charge. Joel Waters is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 in Magistrate Court. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Brent Aguilar made an initial appearance on a voluntary absence from custody charge, a violation of a no-contact order charge and three counts of a violation of probation charge. The public defender's office will handle the absence charge and the probation violation charges. Mark Olberding will continue as counsel for the violation of no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The preliminary hearing on the absence charge is set at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 3. The District Associate Court will schedule the contempt hearing and the probation revocation hearings. Bond is set at $1,000 each for the absence from custody charge and the contempt of court charge. Aguilar is being held without bond on the probation violations.
