• Tiancong Deng made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Dec. 15. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Karla Raquel Puerto made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Puerto pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Miguel Angel Garcia made an initial appearance on a careless driving charge and a reckless driving charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 20 in Magistrate Court.
• Travis Shearer failed to appear for a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. The court found Shearer guilty on both charges. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
