• Jose Luis Garcia Pelayo failed to appear on a speeding charge, a no insurance charge and two counts of a driving under suspension charge. The court found him guilty on all charges. The fine on the speeding charge is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $175.75. The fine on the no insurance charge is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. On the driving under suspension, the fine is $250 for each charge with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50 for each charge.
• David Duran made an initial appearance on three counts of a violation of probation charge. Scott Hunter entered three written guilty pleas with the clerk of court. Bond is set at $10,000 cash.
• Rafael Lopez Barboza made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Court.
• Tremain Lavern Orange made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 5. Orange is being held without bond.

• On Monday, Nov. 6, Rafael Barboza, 45, was arrested on a warrant.
• On Monday, Nov. 6, Dontavius Griswold, 23, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Monday, Nov. 6, Sally Ritchie, 36, was arrested on a warrant charging her with theft-third degree.
Accidents
• On Sunday, Nov. 5, a car driven by Elizabeth Grace Popejoy-Geiken, 27, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Popejoy-Geiken car was estimated at $4,000.
• On Saturday, nov. 4, a car driven by Christian Alexander Wells, 20, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Highway 330 near Binford Avenue when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Wells car was estimated at $4,000.
• On Thursday, Nov. 2, a pickup driven by Burt Duane Tecklenburg, 67, was southbound on Reed Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Tecklenburg pickup was estimated at $2,500.
• On Wednesday, Nov. 1, a car driven by Julie Jo Underhill, 53, of Le Grand, was northbound on Zeller Avenue when it struck a deer standing in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Underhill car was estimated at $4,500.
• On Thursday, Oct. 26, a pickup driven by Brent Jay Schipper, 39, of Wellsburg, was southbound on Highway 14 near the intersection with 160th Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway causing functional front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Schipper pickup was estimated at $3,500.
• On Wednesday, Oct. 25, an SUV driven by Karl Thomas Ehrhardt, 64, of Marshalltown, was westbound on 160th Street at the intersection with Underwood Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway resultling in functional front end damage. No injuries were eported. Damage to the Ehrhardt SUV was estimated at $4,000.
