• Bulmaro De La Cruz Herrera made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set at 9:30 a.m. on March 6.

• Austin Logan Miller made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference charge. The jury trial is set for 9 a.m. on March 14. Bond is set at $2,000 cash.

• Zachary Jo McDonald failed to appear for an operating a non-registered vehicle charge and a driving under suspension charge and the court found him guilty on both counts. The fine on the operating a non-registered vehicle is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Feb. 14, Austin Miller, 33, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Feb. 14, James Combes, 25, was arrested for assault-place in fear of contact-simple assault.

• On Wednesday, Feb. 14, Ryan Widger, 38, was arrested for theft-third degree-shoplifting.

Accidents

• On Wednesday, Feb. 7, a car driven by Makhayla Jilliyn Rosalez, 20, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Rosalez car was estimated at $7,500.
