• Gustavo Alonso Diaz Jr. made an initial appearance on a voluntary absence from custody charge, two counts of a violation of probation charge and a theft-first degree charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel for all charges. The preliminary hearing on the voluntary absence from custody charge and the theft-first degree charge is set for 9 a.m. on April 11. Bond is set at $11,000 cash or surety. Th probation revocation hearing for both cases is set for 1 p.m. on May 3. Diaz is being held without bond.

• Julian Jesus Gonzalez made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-second offense charge, a driving while barred charge, a no insurance charge, an improper use of lanes charge and a driving under suspension charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on April 19. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Gregory Curtis Newsome Jr. made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge, a fraudulent use of registration charge and a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on June 5 in Magistrate Court.

• Lucille Kelly Morley made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Morley pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• On Sunday, March 31, Mikul Putney, 47, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.

• On Saturday, March 30, Jasmine Logsdon, 24, was arrested for criminal mischief-fifth degree.

• On Saturday, March 30, Alma Barboza, 48, was arrested for theft-fifth degree.

• On Friday, March 29, Zachary McDonald, 36, was arrested for driving while barred-habitual offender, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine-first offense.

• On Friday, March 29, Jose Martinez Jr., 37, was arrested for dog at large and rabies vaccination violation.

• On Friday, March 29, Cristian Aguilar, 26, was arrested for 13 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor-purchase/possess-founded.

Incidents

• On Monday, March 25, a burglary-third degree, criminal mischief-third degree, reckless use of a firearm-property damage and a theft-third degree was reported in Dunbar.

• On Thursday, March 21, a theft-third degree was reported in Le Grand.

Accidents

• On Monday, March 25, a car driven by Ezequiel Reyes Avila, 23, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway from the east ditch. The driver complained of back pain, but refused treatment at the scene. Damage to the Reyes Avila car was estimated at $10,000.
