• Brittany Cherlie Patton made an initial appearance on two counts of a possession of a controlled substance charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a providing false identification information charge and a trespass charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 16. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Stephen Robert Szabo made an initial appearance on a harassment-first degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 16. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Laura Lynn Hatch Pledge made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-second offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 24. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Trent Michael Wakeham failed to appear for a no insurance-accident charge and a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge and the court found him guilty. The fine on the no insurance is $645 with a $96.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $796.75. The fine for failure to stop is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $215.25.

• Michael Andrew Rangel made an initial appearance on a speeding charge and a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 29 in Magistrate Court.

• Patience Sunday Suah failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge and the court found her guilty. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75.
