• Justin Dewayne Chlupach made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• James Joseph Aaric Doyle made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. Jacob Heard is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 11 a.m. on June 24. Bond is set at $20,000 cash.

• Marco Octavio Venegas made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $2,000 cash.

• Zoila M. Rivera made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. Rivera pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

Accidents

• On Tuesday, June 11, an SUV driven by Saul James Garcia, 31, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Reed Avenue at 250th Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Garcia SUV was estimated at $1,500.

• On Monday, June 10, a pickup driven by Timothy Jay Jennings, 70, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that jumped onto the roadway from the west ditch resulting in disabling front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Jennings pickup was estimated at $15,000.
